Tile is a very common home building material. With the improvement of people's living standards and the improvement of the aesthetic level of craftsmanship, the color, style, and material of ceramic tiles have begun to innovate, and they have become the most important choice of decoration materials. But there are many kinds of tiles, how should we choose?

1. Ceramic tiles are divided into five grades according to their quality: superior products, first-class products, second-class products, third-class products, and foreign products. There are clear and standardized building materials production licenses, product qualification certificates, trademarks, and quality inspection labels to be considered qualified products.

2. Before choosing tiles, first consider the design style of the room, and determine the color and pattern of the tiles according to the lighting intensity and area size of the room. In general, the narrow room should choose monochrome floor tiles. At the same time, we should also pay attention to the coordination of the color tone of floor tiles and wall tiles, doors and windows, and furniture.

3. Generally speaking, the selection of tiles should be determined according to the room space to determine the type of tiles to buy. Glazed tiles: mostly used for kitchen and bathroom walls. Whole body brick: suitable for spaces with high requirements for wear resistance, such as living rooms. Matte tile: non-slip and wear-resistant, more suitable for family paving with the elderly and children. Polished tiles: high finish, non-slip, wear-resistant, long-term use, more suitable for one-step decoration.

4. Generally speaking, large tiles can be used as floor decoration for large rooms, and traditional 300 tiles can be used for rooms below 10 square meters.×300mm floor tiles, 10— Room below 20 square meters, available 500×500mm floor tiles, rooms above 20 square meters can be considered to be 600mm×600, 800 can be considered for those above 45 square meters×800 or 1000×1000 specifications. Usually, the size of the bricks to be laid is proportional to the area of the room. Small brick-paved large rooms appear too fragmented, while large brick-paved small rooms appear to have no sense of hierarchy and are too rigid.

5. Tiles are fired in batches, and the products fired from the same kiln still have different color numbers, so be sure to calculate the exact quantity during use, and keep the batch of cartons during the laying process, and the replenishment will be reported. The batch number of the product is good, otherwise, it is easy to form color differences, causing regret

6. The laying of tiles must pay attention to leaving seams. Now there are some so-called seamless tiles, which are actually just a trick. The tiles are left with seams, not only to deal with the problem of uneven specifications but also to reserve space for thermal expansion and contraction. The tiles should have seams, and the wall should be 1-2mm. For some small bricks (100x100mm), for the sake of beauty, the seams need to be larger. There are gaps on the ground. Except for the retro bricks, which need to leave a larger gap (5mm-10mm), other types of bricks are generally 3-10mm.
